Wood is one of the most ancient materials used by man to create sculptures. Yet it is also one of the most versatile materials since it can take on a variety of forms and finishes that express the creative urges of a contemporary sculptor. Piramal Art Residency invites artists working with wood to apply for 'Organic Aesthetics: Articulations in Wood', a sculpting residency that explores the various facets of this material. Open to contemporary and traditional sculptors working with wood, this residency will be guided by Mumbai-based artist Rajesh Pullarwar.
Artists from different parts of the country, showcased their work developed during this Art Residency from 4PM to 7Pm 21st Feb 2017.
